The intermediate high risk PE – Do’s and dont’s

The gray zone of intermediate high-risk pulmonary embolism raises key questions: reduced thrombolysis dose, bolus heparin or not, managing symptom duration, relative contraindications via dose reduction, bleeding risks in the elderly, and evidence for catheter-directed thrombolysis. With no formal guidelines, this challenges our traditional black-and-white flowcharts.
