Together, Towards Competency in Critical Care
Mohammed Abu-Ragheef and othersGyllene salen

The intermediate high risk PE – Do’s and dont’s
Emma BendzPrins Eugenes salong
The gray zone of intermediate high-risk pulmonary embolism raises key questions: reduced thrombolysis dose, bolus heparin or not, managing symptom duration, relative contraindications via dose reduction, bleeding risks in the elderly, and evidence for catheter-directed thrombolysis. With no formal guidelines, this challenges our traditional black-and-white flowcharts.

Abdominal ultrasound
Halfdan Lauridsen, Frederik KlintingDanviken
In this workshop you will have hand on training on FAUS- Focused abdominal ultrasound. FAUS is a valuable tool for emergency physicians to promptly confirm various conditions upon the patients’ arrival, thus reducing the time to diagnosis and in some cases eliminating the need for other imaging. Read more about the modality in this free article: DOI: 10.61409/V10230649
Airway management
Rasmus StrandmarkStadshuset
Physicians:
This workshop is for emergency physicians who already have the theoretical knowledge and formal training in airway management, but who may lack experience, confidence, or regular opportunities to manage airways independently. This is not a basic teaching session. Instead, it is a peer-level, high-tempo, scenario-based workshop focused on decision-making, execution, and ownership of the airway. The goal is to help participants trust what they already know, identify and verbalise uncertainties, and gain confidence in airway management. To ensure a safe and open learning environment, the workshop is intended for specialists or near-specialists in emergency medicine.
Nurses:
The workshop is aimed at nurses who feel comfortable in their clinical role and who want to deepen their understanding of airway management from a nursing perspective — including medication dosing, timing, preparation, and teamwork during emergency intubations. This is not a beginner course, but prior experience in emergency care is sufficient. No advanced airway skills are required. Scenarios will be shared with participants in advance to allow preparation and meaningful discussion during the workshop.
Building Networks for Life to Thrive
SWESEM, DGINA, EUSEMGyllene salen
